My Challenger In The Body Shop *DONE*
« on: May 26, 2007 - 03:02:38 PM »
My Challenger is in the body shop getting stripped and painted.  Should have it back the middle of June.  As you can see, the only area where the body was repaired is on the left rear quarter.  Otherwise, it's all original sheetmetal with never any rust.  Did I get lucky or what?  Here are some photos:

Awesome! How far are you going to take it back or restore it? What colour will you be going, white again?

Yeah, I'm keeping it white.  It will have the black R/T hood stripe, black vinyl top (which is why the top isn't stripped) and a T/A decklid spoiler.  I also had custom side stripes made - they look exactly like T/A stripes but have the R/T logo cut out where the T/A letters would be.  Also had a matching decal made for the decklid spoiler.  Have all new hardware going on: quarter and trunk moldings, wheel opening molding, door handles, etc.  Can't wait!

Sounds awesome mate. Nice to hear you have it all planned and ready to go.
Sounds like it should be a relatively easy resto especially as you've got the head around exactly how you want it.

Keep us posted.

:2thumbs:  Looks like it's going great. Just a tip though, I think I would get those wheels and tires off it and put on some scabs while it's at the shop. I'd hate to see an accident happen to them.

Ha, ha, I was thinking the same thing.  I love white Challengers, it is going to be sweet when it's finished!

I thought Alpine White was the Plymouth name...I've seen Eggshell on Dodges.
