Master cylinder is leaking out of the cover Its a new master I tried two new covers new gasket Itried putting carboard under the gasket bent the the bar and still leaks any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure it's not a crack in the master cylinder? Little crack up at the top maybe? Or some casting flaw that is cutting the gaskets?

Sorry to here that it was a new, if thats what's wrong.

Are useing a Mopar master cylinder? I think there are a couple of different lids for them over the years. I recently tried to use a fancy-schmancy chrome cover for mine, with the same results you experienced.  New gasket and all, but it still leaked.  Beware after-market covers.

Check for cracks, check for dirt/debris on top of the reservoir that could cause a gap.  Are the brakes still working okay?  If there's some sort of blockage in the line it could be putting too much pressure into the reservoir fluid and blowing out the gasket anyways.  Also maybe check to make sure the air breather into the space ABOVE the gasket isn't plugged - if so, pressure could be building up when you RELEASE the brake pedal.

I actually just bought a new master cylinder, but mine was leaking between the cylinder and the booster.  Hope you figure it out.
