Now that I'm moved and at least partially unpacked, I wante4d to post a couple of pics of models that I built long ago. I don't think that the finish is that good on either of them, but I had fun with them. One day I'll get back to models ... after the real thing is finished

GREAT looking cars!!!  I love that Super Bird!  I too have recently moved and have not got set up yet.  I got a Super Bee that is being negelcted!  Cant wait to get back started on them.

Thanks CG. I like the TA a lot more. At some point, I'll try to get pics of some more of the details, like the speaker grilles and the seat belts.

Funny story:  When I finished the 'Bird, about 20 years ago, I was trying to get a pic of it and the light was so hot that the roof sagged. I had to saw it out with an X-acto saw, remove the roof from another model, carefully graft it in, then maske it and paint it.

awesome!!! i havnt done any models in about 8 years. i have a few that still need to be put together. ill get to it somday. ill post some pics of the ones that have survived my kids and the moving we have done soon.

I sold almost all of my A and B bodies and just kept the Es. I figured that at the pace I was moving I'd never even finish those.

Here are mine. All 1/18th size and all I did was paint the wheels (cop rims) & Lucy's to the 71 style center cap. I also added some rear 72-74 taillights to Dad's car next to Lucy. They're only budget drawings on sticky paper but do the trick. My 71 Cuda has the cop rims - man, I LOVE cop rims. Looks mean in model form even!

This is the one a friend did for my T/A. I only wish I had this skill. If you look close it has working hood pins . He also drilled the carbs for venturies and put in air cleaner studs that go through the lid. He even made wire hose clamps and drilled out the grill so you can see through it. There is so much detail it would fill a page so I'll quit here.

Awesome job everyone.  I have to get some pics of mine.  Joe built a model tractor trailor car carrier to hold all of my mopar models!  It is sweet, chains and all, lol. 

Oh, and NZ, I always think of you whenever I hear the mention of cop rims (and whenever I hear AC/DC on the radio, ha ha)

Cool!  Don't know what it is about cop rims, I think it's the race car style they shine with.

  I love building models also. Got a lot of them on the shelf to do this winter. Have'nt had a lot of time lately to do any building as I have been playing with the big toy and trying to get it a little farther along towards restoration. I wish I had the skills to detail one as far as Rare_T_A  friend did. Might have to try one on a 71 cuda before the ole eye sight gets any worse!!!
