Tor red with a white stripe and interior was real popular in '72 but black stripe and interior rocks too!!

Wish there was a Mopar paint simulator where you could try different shades of color on your 'virtual' car!?! :clueless:

Here is something you can play with. Go to www.snapfiles.com and do a search on photofiltre. It's a freeware program that works on all Windows versions, and it's a lot of fun. Download and install it. Take a picture of your car. Download it into your PC. Open it in photofiltre. In the menu bar, select "Adjust", then select "Hue". Just by sliding the hue bar, you can instantly change the color of your car.

Here are a few sample pics of my Challenger. They took me all of about 60 seconds.

They're not really Mopar colors, but you can get a good idea of what the different colors will look like on your car.

Have fun.

BTW: It's a really cool photo editor with a lot of easy to use features.

Thanks for all the input!  I've been struggling with making a final decision on a color.  If the car was going into the paint booth today, it would be Sassy Grass.
Lucky (or unlucky) for me, there's still more body work that needs to be completed before it's ready for paint, so I'll have more time to ponder.

Some great ideas.  Thanks again!  :2thumbs:

Next time you go to a swap meet, see if you can find an issue of Hot Rod from Sept to Dec of 1969. In these are the big factory ads for the new car lines. For 1970, Mopar had a cuda with every color available stripped out on it. While freaky looking all together, there are actually some very cool shades in there.

Personally I don't care for high impact colors. Probably because they are solids and I prefer metallics. I typically use later model colors because they easy to get from vendors without getting into details of what the specifics of the mix are.  I'v eseen guys argueing over whether their order of B5 is correct against the original because of the changesin compounds over the years. I don't care to go down that road myself, but then again, none of my cars are ultra rare, high dollar collectibles either.

I'd actually like to see someone paint a cuda / challenger a "conquest blue". It's an awesome color.. not sure what it would look like on an old mopar though.

I really like Tor-Red with white accents!!   Very cool!   :grinyes:  But really I guess I just like the white accents with any color other than black.
