« on: May 31, 2007 - 01:08:02 PM »
Hi there,

at first, please forgive my lousy english !

I will intruduce myself a little ...
So my name is Alex and I life in Germany.
I'm 35 years old and married.
In the past I have build only german Cars, especially the Audi 80 (here known as Audi 4000) quattro.

Now it is time for me to make a new project.
So I selected the Plymouth 'cuda for me.
When I see my first 'cuda my heart was lost in love for it  :-* ...

Now I will learn more about these beautiful cars and buy one in the future.
I hope that no one here was afraid about my stupid questions ...

Cheers

Alex

Thank you all !

Before I search for a car, I will learn more about these cars ...
Otherwise it can be happen that I buy not the right car fpr me or a rusthole ;) !

My favorite is the 1972 - 1974 Barracuda - I like her taillights ...
And it must be a projectcar - I will build my own perfect car !

I don't understand at this time the differences about the Barracuda and the 'cuda.
I mean that the 'cuda is the Sportsmodel - but where are the differences between the 2 cars ?

@360cuda
When I know enough about these cars, I will contact this guy and will see if he can help me.
Thanks for the LINK.

When your talking about '73 and '74 Barracudas and 'CUDAs there are only a few differences

Barracuda VINs start BH23 and all 'CUDA VINs start BS23

All real 'CUDAs have chrome trim on top of the doors, around the tail panel and have the 'CUDA emblem on the tail and the inside door panels. No original Barracudas have these.

All 'CUDAS have dual exhaust, sport hood and sway bars but this equipment is optional on Barracudas.

Everything else is optional on both cars. Rallye instrument panel, racing mirrors, extra chrome trim ect but there were packages you could order to save money. You could get the 318 2bbl, 340 4bbl (or the 360 4bbl in 1974) All E-bodies had front disc brakes with power disc being the option unless you ordered the 340 or 360 where power discs were standard.
All cars had 8 3/4 rearends, 14" tires and the two spoke steering wheel.
