The Beast-vs-2007 Mustang Shelby 500
« on: May 31, 2007 - 07:14:55 PM »
Some of you guys have met me and know I am the last person here to go out starting a race with someone on the street. BUT, on my way home from a car show tonight, a black 07 GT500 with either white or gold stripes, worked hard to get through traffic and get up beside me. We were first at the light and I drove like I always do and he was acting a fool and slammin' the throttle and holding it in low gear. Both of them were laughing and pointing. No biggie, because I could care less. Then at the next light he pulled right up next to me. I'm talking about 6" away from my door handle trying to intimidate me. The passenger said "he don't like you being so close to him" and started laughing again. (both were young and apparently partaking some sort of mood enhancer) Then the driver said "if he don't like it let him do something about it". Soooo, when the light changed, he stayed right next to me. I had enough of the BS and decided to leave his a$$ before he screwed up and ran into me. I gave the Cooda about 1/2 throttle to see if he would get the idea. He was running pretty hard trying to stay with the old gal when I hit the gas hard. It was over before it began. All he saw was 38 year old taillights gettin' outta Dodge. Those things are pretty slow really. I thought that with 500 HP, it would at least stay in the same zip code as me from a 25 mph roll. Nope. Oh well, I wasn't looking for any crap, but it found me anyway. It was sorta fun, but it didn't last long enough... LOL

Great story. Most youngsters have no idea what a bb a body will do. And messing your particular car is just plane stupid.   WTG, they will feel small for days and days. :2thumbs:

Hell yea man.  Those ford guys should have known that that pos gt 500 wouldn't hang with a Hemi.  Those cars are pigs anyway.  I think they weigh close to 4,000 lbs.

I've you've ever had the misfortune of being on a Mustang board they're 95%, young punks who swear every 10 seconds, post porn 24/7 and basically think their car's Gods gift to the auto industry. I would have done the same Oldschool. Racing and doing burnouts around city areas and schools, F-N stupid, on the highway when fully encouraged is a totally different thing. Glad you should those you punks the ways of the Old. :smokin:

The only thing better would of been if you were able to film it including there faces and then post it on You tube for all there buddies to see :roflsmiley:
I got some High school kid that drives by my house in his newer Mustang though out the day and night with his bass turned up way too loud to even figure out what song it is. He always revs his motor as he passes my house or jumps on it a little, I guess I'm supposed to be in awe of his flowmasters or something  :dunno:

Great story. In a way I think you provided a public service. Those Mustangs are nice cars but old Mopars especially Hemis should be respected. All you did was provide some youth tutoring on your own time.   :roflsmiley:
