Goody sent me a PM about the signing up problem.  I don't have control over that either, but have sent the message on to Rev.  I know she is probably pretty busy, but I am sure she will know what to do.  Please tell your friends that want to join that we are so sorry for the delay and that we will get it taken care of ASAP!

Thanks April, I sent a PM to Rev the other day when I started this thread.  I am guessing the delay is due to fighting spammer attempts to register and post away before they are discovered.  We'll see what Rev says...

Woo-Hoo!!!  Hi everyone... I finally got my account set up and can respond to Allen's thread!  The Challenger is here and tucked into the garage along side my 69 Coronet.  It is going to be a little while until I can get working on it, but I am very happy to have the car.  Allen is a great guy to deal with, and super nice above all.

The plan will be to put the car back very close to stock, just a little more "go" in the 383 since it won't be the original block.  This car is about as close to perfect for me as I can imagine, so the R/T convertible may go up for sale, but the Challenger is a keeper.  I'm WAAYYY down in the south of Florida, but would like to get in touch with some fellow Mopar guys around here.

Darren,

Glad to see that it finally made it.  Drop me a line.  I'm way up in Jacksonville.  I might be interested in the R/T.

Oh, Welcome Aboard :burnout:

Thanks,

Thanks guys, and thanks Rev for getting my account worked out!  I hope to keep both of the cars, just not sure if that is realistic or not... they both need lots of work, but at least the convertible is running/driving!  Both cars are really well optioned, N96 and axle packages!  :burnout:

I guess most of the Florida guys will be at the Garlits show and/or the Turkey Run?  I've got a friend down here that swears by the Turkey Run, but I think I'll have to pick the Garlits show if I can only make it to one this year.

Anyway, thanks again for the warm welcome, I'll spend plenty of time on here.

Ludington1,

I haven't gone to Garlits for two years and I'd really like to see your Coronet R/T.  So this year, I am going.  The last time I was there is when my avatar picture was taken.  I will be bringing my 71 Superbee.

The Turkey Run is in Daytona over Thanksgiving weekend.  I've only lived in Florida for about 18 months, but a friend here has been going there for like 15 years and says there are thousands of old cars and hot rods... all brands and years.

The Garlits show is at the Garlits Museum in Ocala, FL...  I just tried to find the dates for it but can't... it is sometime in the fall also... someone on here must have them.  I think that show is all Mopar, and supposed to have a good turnout.

I haven't been to either one, but will definitely make it to one or the other this year.

It's the normally the first weekend of November.  That would be the 3rd and 4th this year.  If you google Don Garlits you can get a phone number to the museum from his website. .
