OK, got pretty much the whole build narrowed down (finaly), trying to focus in on the ignition now.... It has the original single point distributor in it at the moment, and everything looks to be ok. Now, would it be a better idea to convert to electronic ignition, or leave the points in there? The cam is the Lunati VooDoo summit racing part # LUN-60302LK and with the prior mentioned head work, plus forged pistons and such. Anyhow, my old Charger with the 440, I had put on the Mopar Performance conv. kit with orange box, a lot better than the worn out, and somewhat bent, points setup dist that was in it...... So, what would be the choice? This car will be mostly street, if any track at all....
Also on a side note, so this way I don't start other topic, or drag up an aold one, piston rings I saw these: Total Seal rings, that claim they can provide something like an additional 5 plus more inches of vacuum? It might be the Max seal rings, but I was wondering, one if it's these for sure, two what are the pros -vs- cons of these rings? Since this is a street car, and will be using power brakes, vacuum secondaries, and vacuum advanced, plus whatever else maybe vacuum operated, I'd like for this motor to create some vacuum, that's one reason why I didn't go to big on cam, and stuck with the VooDoo b/c they advertise "more vacuum" due to the design, I've also heard of this too from other sources other that factory....
