funny holes in windshield channel

We are welding up the rust in the window channels and in the front windshield channel on both sides are a set of three holes that lead inside the car. I know they were not there on the last cuda or on any of my challengers. ANy thoughts as to what they are. It is not from rust and they appear to originate from the inside.

I had the same thing on my 70 Challenger.  Don't know what they were, but I welded them up anyway.

kind of look like old rivet holes,but weird spot for that

I have them two on both sides they are coming out of the metal like a pimple.
