Anyone going to the Wine Country Mopars event, Mopars North of the Gate at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma this next Saturday? I know I am going.

I went. It was alright. Fun watchin the mopar drags.
After watching it for awhile, I think I've built up the courage to drive my car down the strip Next year for the first time ever.

...what the heck. Whats the worst that could happen..miss a shift? :burnout:

Bummer, I would have gone, I didn't hear about the show until just now. When did they move the show to the track? Last time I went it was still at the fairgrounds.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

It has been at the track for 3 or 4 years now I think. I took 2nd place in mopar 75 to present with my SRT 4. The show has gotten really small like 50 cars, and the swap meet is down to like 4 spaces. It is mostly a bracket race that week end and not just mopars racing either. I dont think that I am going to go next year, which sux because it was a great show when it was at the fairgrounds.

  :iagree:
The swap meet was a joke, which was my main reason for going, the show itself was pretty small too. The drags were cool when the Mopars were running, but the long wait between rounds when the other brand cars ran got a little old.
But the breakfast burritos at the racers cafe were KILLER!!!!
And I did get a cool Fremont Drag Strip T-shirt.
Surprised I didn't see ya there Eric.

Oh yeah and the only food was the raceway cafe, and they wanted 7 bucks for a burger and 4 bucks for a 20 oz bottle of soda, so I ate in Vallejo on my way home.

Yea, I couldn't understand why they had all the snack shacks that are right under the stands, and right next to the pits closed, but they had the cafe open which is all the way at the entrance of the place.  :dunno:

Dang Rob...sorry I missed you ! I ended up going by myself (skipping my kids swim meet).

Did you go to Ohlone? I tried your cell phone # from last year when I was there, but you didn't answer...

Me and my son were mainly sitting in the bleachers watching the races, we got there at 8am but we were out of there by about noon.

I was at Ohlone at 7am hitting the swap meet. I checked out the show for a little while but couldn't stay that long enough to meet up with everyone.
If I didn't answer I must of been driving home, it's hard to hear my phone ring on the freeway with the stereo on. I'll send ya my # again just to make sure it's the right one.
