Hey NZ,
Gratz on the go ahead with your build. It is definitely very exciting for me, specifically 3 different times. 1)When you get that crate marked hemi and first open it up 2)When we set the engine into the engine bay and 3)The first time it fired up. You are going to be having some cool days ahead of you.
A gotcha I ran into with the EFI was that the crank pulley <I went with the March serpentine kit> was 3/8" too thick due to the magnetic trigger that was set on the crank. I had to get this machined to make my belts align correctly. Just keep that in mind when you are deciding on what kind of belt/pulley system you are going to use.
As for another video, that must have been someone else as I have only made one video post of the Chally.
Cheers,
dray
Hey Dray,
Oh, OK....then who the hell was I emailing?
It was a green 426 EFI car. It wasn't your car but you pulled the video clip from some website and emailed me it? May have been someone else then.
As far as belt pulley system, Tim is looking after everything. I want a stock looking engine so most parts will be black and hidden. He's doing the brackets, radiator, fuel pump, fuel tank set up, k-member, mounts, shaker set up. Basically set the engine up at his shop, dyno, tune, kinks, test then send it out to us ready to drop in basically. Of course we'll drop it in before paint to make sure it lines up and sits properly but apart from that should be a complete engine set up. All we'll be doing is hooking up the lines and cables. Can't wait, the first time I'll ever hear a Hemi, a big one at that lol. Must be a very exciting day. Do you have sound deadener in your car? I won't be as Lucy is too quiet for my tastes and I like to hear my engines. Lucy is nice but more of a classy cruiser, I want my 'Cuda to be a wild one with electric cutouts as well. lol If you have/n't go it what's your opinion on the in car noise? What exhaust are you using? tti 2-1/8" headers with ??
