67' Coronet 440 318/auto Value?
« on: June 15, 2007 - 06:11:11 PM »
Hello to all and thanks for taking a stab at this!!!

I have the opportunity to buy a 1967 Coronet 440. I know the history of this car since new. The second owner, that I am negotiating with has owned the car for the last 20 years. The car has never been wrecked or repainted and is 100% original down to the tires. 37,000 original miles. It has always been garaged and has NO rust ANYWHERE!
It comes with a 318/auto. Bench seat, interior is near perfect. While this is certainly not the most desireable car.....it's condition is near flawless. The worst thing on the car is that the original white paint is getting flat and I don't know how well it will buff. Fender tag, perfect build sheet, and documentation are present. Owner wants me to make him an offer.           What do you think???        Thanks in advance!

It's tough to say without pics. Any rust issues underneath? How does the engine compartment look? Any options on this car? Does it run well? 8-10K, but maybe a few more pending more info.

Runs well, no smoke, engine compartment looks new other than some corrosion on the battery posts. 100% stock, air cleaner, wheels, hubcaps....everything. Not many options, black vinyl top. I looked it over real well underneath and there is just NO rust to speak of. I may be able to get some pics by middle ot the week. Thanks for our advice!

I think Mike's offer is a good one, although with so much history, documentation and the nice condition of the car, the car may be worth more.

But don't let the seller know this.....  :misbehaving:  :poopoke:
