727 shift linkage
« on: June 17, 2007 - 02:11:16 PM »
Ever since I put in my Harms pistol grip shifter, my shifter has been off. I have adjusted it 2 different times and it's still off. Last time I put the tranny in neutral, left the rod hooked up the the trans, had the adjustment bolt loose and put the shifter in neutral. then tightening down the adjustment bolt. Still not right. I tried un-hooking the rod from the trans the first time, putting the trans in neutral, then the shifter and loosening the adjustment bolt and dropping the rod into the hole and tightening. I was told that was the proper way. Not right.  :clueless: Any tips???

they can be tough to position just right , just undo the block on the lower arm & slide it a bit 1 way & see if it helps or get worse ,if it gets worse go the other way
