    I put a new pan gasket and filter in last fall.  Didnt seem to help.  It looks like its coming from everywhere.  Where should I start?   :pullinghair: :pullinghair:

    could be the shifter seal just above the pan or the tranny line connections , take some brake clean & clean it up & watch for new leaks

    Yep,manual shaft seal(most likely)cooler line and/or safety/neutral switch. :grinyes:
    4th pic looks like maybe reverse linkage pivot rod seal.

     :iagree: with the 3 previous posts, and would lean towards the shift shaft seal first. Clean it with a can (or 2!) of brake clean and see whats going on. Travelling down the road blows the ATF all over the place. KD Tool makes a puller socket for the shift shaft seal without dropping the valve body that I'm pretty sure you can order from NAPA. My 727 looked pretty much the same as yours when it was leaking, annoying to say the least.

    No kidding.

    I'm pretty sure its leaking from these two spots.  In the second pic, it looks like a 2" plug held down with a bolt and hold-down, kinda like a distributor thats leaking.  Almost positive its leaking in these two spots.  Can I fix these without taking the thing out?   :pullinghair:

    Also looks like the o-ring at the filler tube? Mine leaked real bad when ever it was full.

    yep, definitely. Worst case scenario would be having to remove the valve body to get at the shift shaft seal, but it isn't too difficult. The speedo housing is really easy, just pull that one bolt, note the orientation of the speedo housing and pull it out-there is an o-ring (just like a distributor) on the housing. I would still do the shift shaft seal first, that is definitely leaking, then after that is fixed, see if anything else leaks.

    I have installed the shift seal using a bolt & washer in the past , no need for special tools

    This is the tool he's talking about.It works real good,but I don't think I would buy it just to do one job. If you think you might use it again in the future,then it might be worth the $35-$40.  :2thumbs:

    That's the tool I was talking about, pulls/drives the seal with the valve body still in the car. I think the question should be how many mopars do you have? I don't think I've owned one yet that didn't leak from the shift shaft seal at some point.

    1 Mopar - may not be worth buying the tool
    5 Mopars - might be worth it

    But I am a tool junkie......

    But you guys need to educate me.  Im stupid when it comes to automatics.  Valve body?   ???
