I am at the point (I think) where I will be diving into the body work in the upcoming months. Now the car sits on a rotiserrie as a complete shell ready to be sandblasted. This will be my first real welding job and I do have a lot of welding to do so I figure I will get better in time. I mean a few small holes in the firewall and in the floor, the trunk needs to be replaced, etc. I have an old door that I picked up that I am going to practice on also, but here comes the real question.
So I have been reading through the forums for a while now. I have been trying to figure out what is the best possible way to do the welding, on a rotiserrie or jack stands or with the car on all 4 tires. I have ran across a couple posts that really stick out in my mind:
1.

What needs to be replaced on the car:
Drivers and Passenger side floor
Quarters (both)
Trunk pans
Inner fender (battery acid ate through it)
Piece on the firewall (patches really)
With the suspension being out I was thinking about doing these steps:
1. Sandblast the suspension pieces (arms, K frame, sway bars, rear end, leaf springs, torison bars)
2. Paint the pieces and put them off to the side
3. Get the car sandblasted (certain areas)
4. Bring the car back and start putting the suspension back in it.
5. Do my body work.
Haha so what do you think?
