Actually, we are doing some custom builds right now so if you are interested just let me know. I can do a 70 Cuda, fully loaded with every option known to man for under 65k. Drop a Hemi in it and you are looking at about a 15k  increase in price.

I am not intending to be Shawns protector, I have read enough posts and threads to know he does not let things bother him and no I would not know him from Adam. Uthustler, you are coming across as a hater. If the car does not push your buttons just gather up your toys and go somewhere else to play. Crapping on all these threads is not flattering IMO. Do you actually have the green to buy one of his cars? There comes a point when you are not being constructive anymore and the negativity gets old after a while.

I did not see his comments that way? I think he was right. There is not much of a market for custom cars or clones right now. People with that kind of money want original cars. Customs are great, but are best done by people who want to customize the car to their own tastes. The car looks great, but finding a buyer that wants it just that way at that price may not be easy.....

Why keep reminding Shawn of it, he knows the car, don't like it, don't post. Custom cars will always be hard to sell that's a given, especially at the high end scale of custom such as this car.

I also think the paint killed the Cuda.. created a very tight market. Looks like ebay says it's worth 58k and the car is sold.. unless there is some schilling going on./. For 58k, I'd repaint black.. now the car is a steal IMO.

I think it was worth the money it went for and it was at a good price. If I had the money which I don't I would have painted it black like someone suggested and you would be well ahead of the game. Black 70 Cuda with a Hemi, shaker , very good condition goes for a lot more than what it sold for in my opinion even if it's a clone. I agree that the paint scheme is not for me but that's not a deal breaker in my opinion the hard part has already been done.

Another country chiming in here - Personally I like the stripe, it adds a personal touch to it. Unfortunately, as already said it does narrow your market, but my Dad used to tell me that there is an ass for every seat. Don't take that wrong Shawn, I am not saying that it would take an ass to buy this car - I would buy it, so maybe I am an ass. I get tired of seeing the same paint scheme over and over. I am getting very frustrated seeing other Plum Crazy Challengers just like mine. Thats why I add little touches such as the rims and was trying to come up with a different stripe for the side. I know my opinion means nothing but personally I cringe when I read posts of people shredding the hard work of others, whether its the paint or the model or whatever, everyone has different tastes.

Kingtroll, thats a sick Challenger you got on your hands. As for the car selling on eBay, yea dead beat bidding. We thought we would try it with that car just to see where it might go but ofcourse if you leave it up to eBay you can usually bet that you'll be taking a bath at the end of the auction. I think we might go ahead and reserve the car and run it through eBay again, only this time I'm gonna try and push it at the 70 marker. I do agree that the paint scheme has narrowed us down pretty dramatically but I can say, minus the Hemi cars, that the clone cars have done extremely well for us as well as others this past year. I know from talking with other shops across the US they too have had the same issues with collectible numbers matching big block cars but have thrived with the cloned, 60k and below cars. The only things that I have seen this past year, year and half, that have done really well have been the small block (340's and the AAR's) cars. Again, these are just my opinions and I am sure things are thriving some where for each automobile on the planet.
