MEK is exactly right. The EPA regulations have driven up the costs so high a lot of shops just figure it isn't worth it anymore. But you've got to wonder how you can still buy a mustang bumper for under a hundred bucks when it costs 3x that to rechrome one of ours?
Probably because the rechrome is done here in the law abiding USA, whereas the Mustang bumper can be made and chromed overseas. Kind of scary that even with a boat ride here it is so cheap.
