4sp conversion

hi i'm about to start my conversion and wanted to know if i need to take the dash out to do the pedal swap and does anyone have any advice for me thanks

Are you just changing the brake pedal and adding the clutch pedal?  That would be lots easier than putting in the whole assembly.   Having the dash out makes putting in the whole assembly  very easy.   Try the pedal route first.

i got a brAKE and clutch assembly from brewers so i 'd take my old brake pedal out and put these in can it be done with the

Yes, it can be done, and it is not very difficult.

I did it several years ago with my first Cuda and remember the hardest part was attaching the spring.  (Of course my back was a lot more flexible back then.)

You don't use the spring with that pressure plate but you wont like the feel of it.  You might want to put a light spring on the over center mount just to pull your pedal all the way up to the bumper.

would you suggest a better clutch ass. i was told centerforce was the best but this was comming from a ford guy.

I suggest the stock style borg&beck  Mopar Performance clutch with the 3 roller centrifugal assist. I have the McCleod brand, 10.95" with the 11" disk, behind my 440. The pressure isn't too stiff and the faster it spins the tighter it gets.   The wife can drive it and it never slips when I jump on it.   

With this type, you can hear the rollers rattle when you shake the pressure plate. If you buy the scalloped 10.95" make sure you buy the bolts that go with it. They will either be small 12 point, 3/8 bolts, or 6 sided header type bolts.

I agree , I use B&B McLeod clutches , they aslo offer a Long style with less pedal pressure & adjustable centrifical weights

Here is a link to Mancini's clutch page:

The 10.5" and the 11" Scalloped both fit on a 10.5" flywheel.  Make sure that you use the correct disk with each pressure plate;  !0.5 for 10.5, 11" for 10.95" scalloped.   They are a little pricey so try to find the same ones from McCleod, Jegs, or Summitracing.

You will need the big over-center spring but it aids in pushing it in and also in quick release.

Yes , it is a 10.95" & will bolt to the 130 tooth flywheel for maximum grip
