This is typical:

    *  Red to 12-volt "switched" power supply
    * Black to ground
    * Green to trigger (negative side of coil, or tach output terminal if using an aftermarket ignition control)
    * White (or yellow) to light circuit

No, looks like someone upgraded it to the electronic ignition.

No.  The tach will have a white or yellow (probably white) wire which must be connected to a 12 volt power for back lighting the tach.  The tach will work without it. It must be connected to any 12 volt switched power source under the dash ie dash lighting source.  You can connect it to one of the terminals on the fuse box or to the same place as other after market gauges (if you have any) are connected to.  If you know the make of the tach the specific instructions may be on the internet. There are probably many choices of where this could be connected to but I'm not sure what is easiest.

Are you trying to connect the original tach, or an after-market one? If it's the original, there are only 2 connections. The power wire goes on the long screw where my finger is pointing. I believe the wire is blue. The screw with a tab on it is where a wire from the "-" side of the coil connects. I believe that wire is gray. If you are missing, or can't find the wires, you can run your own. The ground connection for the tach is made from the contact with the metal housing that is screwed into the dashpad.

Cowboy, In your thread about the heater problem you said the dash was changed to a R/T dash. Are you saying it was a standard dash cluster that was changed to a rallye dash cluster? If so you will have to add a wire for the tach, unless the dash wire harness was changed also. The standard dash harness will not have the tach hookup.
