Can't believe it....
« on: November 25, 2003 - 05:31:36 PM »
I can't believe it.... My friend just bought a wrecked, but mostly complete '70 440 Sixpack 'Cuda for $400.  INSANE!!!   >:(

Some redneck tried to outrun the cops, and lost.  He missed a turn, and plowed off the road and into a field.  The frame is jacked, and the passenger side quarter is whacked.  I just can't believe such a cool car ended up this way!  The 440 Sixpack is all there, and runs!   :(

I've already got dibs on the windshield and front window trim, the rear swaybar, the Fog lamp switch, engine wiring, and the doors, but theres LOADS of 'Cuda goodies!!  The 'Cuda hood is in great condition, and he's ready to saw-zall off any parts that can't be unbolted....  :'(

Breaks the heart to see a complete E-body die.....  :(

If it`s an original 440-6 car it`s probably worth fixing unless it`s bent in half. It`s a shame to part it out.

If it's not full of rust it would be worth far more fixed, and best part of all it would be saved!

Love to see some pics!

Yeah.... Don't know the scoop on saving it.  I guess anything could be fixed with a ton of cash, but it would be pretty expensive.  Needs one HELL of a frame pull, a front clip, a roof, both quarters..... Nice hood and rear dual exhaust valance, though.  Not my car, though.
It was just wierd to look at it and think about all the cool stuff it had been, and to see it sitting there, dead.  Sorta like looking at carsinbarns.com but knowing for sure its already gone.
Looks like it was once was B5 blue with blue interior, but I didn't check the tag.  Was a real 'Cuda, though.    :'(

Even if it can't be saved, could you post some pictures of the car and the fender tag? I'm sure everyone would love to see it!

you see what original numbers matching sixpac cars are going for on ebay, they are almost like the Hemi's now.. fix that thing and sell it.

RabidScott,

Someone looking for an original SixPack car and willing to fix it, would pay more than $400.00 for that car. I wouldn't start parting/hacking yet.

At the risk of scorn, wouldn't this be a good car to
rebody? If it is a comeplete car, why not put it together
with a /6 or 318 grand coupe.
If not why not clone an R/T charger or road runner from
a satelite or other B-body. Seems to me the hard part
is getting the 6bbl equipment
