The wires in the connector going to the floor switch may be shorted. Do yourself a big favor and give Tom a call at M&H 562 926-9552 x201. He will give you some logical troubleshooting tips.
WOW...is all I can say....Tom was a HUGE help.....I just got off the phone with him and he spent close to 40 minutes telling me everything and I mean EVERYTHING electrical about my car, what could have gone wrong, what components to check/change due to the surge, I mean this guy is top shelf material. FY1, thank you so much
for his number. Even though it's looking like my dash harness is fried, Tom gave me some helpful hints on where to look for the melt and how to fix it and even said to call him back if I had more questions.
Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow? LOL....we'll see how it goes under that dash!
