I once had an older fella ask me if my T/A was the first year for the Mustang. 99% of the time it's that both are Chargers. Once in a while I'm asked if the Challenger is a Cuda. :smilielol:

Choppin, every time I see your Mustang, I mean Challenger I die. I think that is one of the greatest paint jobs I have seen. It is reminiscent of the old 70's paint schemes, and they rock!.

It has already been said, but I am going to comment on it.  My favorite are the "motor heads" that are like damn son you got a great camaro there.  At one point when I was at the gas station I played along with the guy said it had a 454 in it.

I took my Challenger to Burger King the other day to do a test for leaks.  On the way out there were four kids beside me in a ricer.  I figured  they were going to try to get me to race them, but instead they wanted to ask about the car ... and they knew it was a Challenger.  Now, my car has no badging of any kind at the moment, so they had to know their cars pretty well to ID it.  I have to say that I was impressed for the next generation  :)

Before mine was in pieces, I'd get asked "What kind of Camaro is that ?"  I'd just tell them that's it a special order one, I ordered a fast one.

This is going to be a very unpopular question.....

Why is there so much similarity with the 70-74 Cuda and the 69 Camaro?

Dad always wanted the 69 Camaro, but bought a Cuda instead (new in 74)?  Any thoughts?

People are stupid

In addition, when you put a Kamero next to a 'CUDA in comparison they are not even close. E-bodys are much wider and lower with high doors and low roofs.

My dad did a similar thing in late 69.  He went and loked at a new Camaro and then checked out the Challenger.  The Challenger weighed more and cost less - he figured GM was trying to screw him (his words not mine)!   That one fact is what got me hooked on Challengers at the ripe old age of 3!  I guess if it'd been the other way around I'd be lurking on the Camaro-Firechicken website and be called CamaroGary  :roflsmiley:

The next time someone says to you "Nice Charger", just whip your head around and say "Where?"
I haven't had my Cuda too long, but the only time I've had someone ask if it was something else is when I was home during Christmas for leave. I was driving it around the neighborhood, stretching her legs when a guy came out of his house and stopped me. He asked if it was the new Challenger, (before production has even begun).    :roflsmiley: I laughed and told him it was neither "new" nor a "challenger".

When I had my '68 Camaro, people would always say "Nice Mustang"

I think the lines of the first-gen Camaros are very similar to the Cuda, and I am expecting for people to tell me I have a nice Camaro.... but for now the only comment is "when is this damn car going to be finished?!?!"  :smilielol:
