Steering column has to be dropped of course ( 2 nuts under the dash plus 3 bolts on the firewall under the dash).  I'm not sure if you can get at the screws along the front of the windshield with the glass in.  If you can get at them they are going to be a pain to get at.

There are about 10 3/8 nuts. The whole dash needs to be stripped to get at some of them. Remove the 3 bolts in the firewall/floorpan and the under dash bracket to lower the steering column. Two screws in each defroster vent, under dash at each side. Unplug wiring and remove. Unplugging the wiring is the hardest and the biggest pain in the arse. I think that covers everything.

NZ I don't think the dash has to be stripped to get it out . . if I recall correctly, I took the dash out of the convertible all in one piece and guages intact??  :clueless:   (could be wrong though  :drunk:)

Not sure what you mean Dave, maybe a misread on your part?  :clueless:

Yes but you can't brush your teeth without opening your mouth. ;)
There isn't just one large bolt and everything drops out, you have to remove it piece by piece.

There is no easy way......

This was the part I wasn't sure about.  I know you need to take the dash apart to remove the dash pad in the car . . but I thought you could get the whole dash out of the car in tact without having to tear it apart?   :clueless:

LOL! :lol2: OK. Now I'm confused. :clueless: :smilielol: You only need to get to a couple as far as I'm aware, not all 10 of them. I've been reading up on it for the last week or so so I know what to do for Dads Cuda but obviously I'm no expert.

For those of you that may read this post at a later date, I figured it out last night: :clapping:
1) Remove gauges and disconnect wiring
2) Remove 4 screws in the ductwork, there is two on each side.
3) Drop the steering wheel
4) Remove the two bolts that are at either side of the dash, located next to the kick panel
5) Disconnect the wiring harness from the firewall.

And then pull you entire dash out!!! :eek4: :cooldancing:

Hope this helps someone elso out there and makes it a little easier for you than it was for me :2thumbs:

Was there no screws installed along the front of the dash?

Yes there were some screws along the edge for the light bar and for some of the trim, but that is fairly clear that it has to come off......

I meant along the bottom of the windshield where the dash meets the cowl.
