What oil pan will work in a 73 Chally.........
« on: June 26, 2007 - 09:11:06 PM »
Hi Guys, I am rebuilding a 360 I removed from a 76 Dodge Royal Monico for my 73 Challenger.  It has a  "center hung " oil pan which is what I think I need.  While looking at the oil pan in my 72 318 Charger, also a center hung, I noticed the pan had been stamped with one side flattened in order to give more clearance.  The pan with the 360 looks  "square"............question is , will I have any interferece problems if I use it in the Chally.  Am I explaining this right.......any ideas...........thanks ,,,,John

As you probably know the 318 & 360 pan are different , in most cases the center sump pans will fit unless it was out of a C body maybe , do you have a pan # ?
