    Hello all, new to the board, I have spent many hours lurking in the background. I finally bought my first muscle car and of course it is a MOPAR. Hear it is a 1970 challenger RT.  It's in pretty good shape, I plan on removing the trunk wing and front eye lids.  It has all the original metal, it has a date code correct 383 and trans. It was ordred stripe delete and council delete. I have the original broadcast sheet and reciepts that date back to the early 80's.  My biggest problem with the car is the darn mirror, I want to put the original back on in a bad way. I am thrilled to finally have the car, and I am one happy Mopar Fanatic.

    Nice car, Plum 70. I can't tell from the pics; is that a TA rear spoiler or a similar aftermarket design?

    It is surely manual, but I have yet to see another challenger with this style mirror. All of the mirrors that I have seen are the ( bullet ) style. The drivers door does not have a spot for the mirror control, so i,m a little confused.  I will try to get a picture of the just the mirror, and maybe someone can chime in on the origin.

    Welcome Plum, Sweet Car there. I can definately see your problem with that mirror, it would have to go. Although, I think the eye brows look nice on there. Where are you located, I'm getting a funny feeling that it is detroit from the post title and are you heading to Carlisle with us ???

    Looks pretty much like the stock standard mirror, but a nice racing mirror would add to the car.

    Ya i,m from Michigan - I am just happy to bring my car back to it's birthplace, Good old HAMMY. Has anyone used these repop mirrors, I am a little shaky about them :clueless:
