Well, I went to see her and it's going well.
The headliner was being installed b4 they put in the new front windshield, tomorrow the white vinyl top goes on.
The dash & console were dyed from blue to black.
The engine was reinstalled.
And my favorite- check out my "rusty" ole ashtray, rusty no more.

Coming along nicely.

Although a resto that well done deserves a real dashpad; not a dash cap.  If you finally do decide to a dashpad, why not get an AC one and duct the HVAC ducting to the factory locations?  That's what I plan on doing on my non-OEM AC car.

Today I saw the vinyl top installed and the dash was put back in it, next the carpet, then the white seats and doorpanels...

Went to see her again today- some progress made in last few days-
new front windshield put in, rear winshield reinstalled,
britework moldings installed over new vinyl top,
nos door handles installed.

Next comes the carpeting, console, the rest of the dash, the 71 r/t striping in white etc.
I'm told she'll be back home within a month.
Actually I was told 2 weeks, but you know what that means.

To quote the momma's & pappa's-
"I saw her again last night...)
Palco door panels & rear panels installed and fit well.
New white sunvisors now in.
Today the called & said they finished the interior-
new black carpet, seats recovered in white, new chrome door sills.

The only delay is last week when I saw her, they showed me 2 minor pitted/dull areas on each bumper, bout the size of a half dollar.
Do I want to go for the rechrome?
Otherwise the car is show quality.
Then they showed me a sample of their work.
To quote another song- "Just one look, was all it took"
In for a penny, in for a pound.
About a 2 week turnaround for the rechroming.

On sept 15, the "mopars of the Palm Beaches" is having their meeting at my restaurant.
Sure would be nice to have her done by then, but that's only 10 days ahead.

Russ

Not for nothin, but seeing her in person is better than sex.
She really turns me on, and to know that in a few more weeks I'll be sleeping in her is boggling my mind.

How do I love thee...
let me count the ways.

Had to go see the interior today.
The new chrome door sills look stunning.
All that's left is the rechroming of the bumper and the white r/t stripe.
