I suppose Mike or his Dad will enlighten us C-C folks when they get ready.  My curiosity is peaked about this deal now.......    :clueless:

Whatever the reason and however it turns out, I wish the best for Mike and his family..........    :2thumbs:      :cooldancing:

I just spoke to Mike last night in a PM.....he's been helping me with my front light harness.  He didn't mention (I didn't see the ad until now though) anything about the car being for sale  :dunno:.  He's sent me some pics of it in his driveway here in FL and they are better pics than in that post.  I would think it may be a scam, but ya never know.  Also, I think he may be out of town this weekend as he said he was going to be busy the next 2 weekends and wouldn't be able to come over to help me out (he lives only 20 minutes from me).

Damn, those guys over at moparts have some FANGS!!!!!! After reading just that one post I know that place is not for me. Seems like about half the members have a shank in their hands and the other half are anticipating getting that shank snapped off in them  :o

Very interesting read, especially that Mike is not confirming or denying the ad in his posts on moparts. Whether they are selling the car or not is really up to them. The car came out really nice, but I don't think it is what Mike or his Dad wanted, and I would probably consider selling it too if the person who built it did not listen to my relative who told them what I liked. I'm sure when they are ready they will let us know. I hope everything is okay with the family.

Who cares if he sells the car.  I think it is ugly, and Foose really didn't even seem to listen to the requests.  If I could have someone fix up my car like that and I could get that kind of $$$$ for it, I'd sell it in the blink of an eye and buy 3 cars with the proceeds.

Yes it's for sale. The ad website puts your city/state based on your area code, we used to live in Hampton, Va which is where our cell phones are based out of. It's no scam or any of that. We've discussed it in the past month or two, I really didn't find out he posted an ad until I got home from work yesterday with 7 emails, and a dozen PMs between boards. I do have better pictures he will be editing the lab with, he used what he only had on his laptop and not what is on mine. It is his car to do with what he pleases, not mine. I support the idea however, due to the fact that it's really something that can't be used by us for it's intended use at this time for us. This is a car you can't leave parked anywhere without one eye left on it, and that can't practically be insured well enough to be used as a daily or 'good weather' daily driver by us. He will likely be buying another e-body, something a bit nicer than what I have, but something you don't lose sleep over with if it gets knicked by a rock on the road. The show and the whole experience was awesome at the SEMA show, however when it boils down to how we both like our cars, it can't quite work out. So it's up, and we'll see what happens with it.

Well it's good to see it's not another scam and good luck with the sale.  Hopefully your dad can get the e-body he really wants and can enjoy!  :2thumbs:
