probally owes someone money and they probally had to move again, thats why its in VA.

Did you not read what Mike wrote?  He said that they used to live in VA, and their cellphone numbers have that area code.  So when they put the tele number in the ad, it came up in VA.

They can do what they want.  If it werent for the internet, none of us would know what was going on anyways.

Hopefully either dwbiggs or a mod can seal this one up.  No need to discuss it any more.   ;)

Yup, this thread should die. Some of us are starting to sound like the guys at that "other" place. People in glass houses......, remove the beam from thine own eye first......., lots of pearls of wisdom come to mind. I would not mind if this entire thread was deleted.

I was there at the show and watched the car being built. Hate to see them selling it off, but I totally understand. If you think about it, the car is no longer a daily driver in any form or fashion. You couldn't leave it sitting around somewhere for fear of having it stolen or vandalized. You would hate to change anything and possibly affect the value which is naturally quite a bit more since it's a Foose television car. Besides, if you ever plan to sell it, now's the time while the car is still freshly restored and still somewhat famous. I say that they're definitely doing the right thing. After all, the famous car builders seldom keep any of the cars that they build. To them it's just a commodity, so why should it be any different for anyone else?  ;D

As for being on the show, the work isn't done for free. Seems like someone said that the average tax cost was around 10k. Not real sure how many more shows will be made anyway. The series seems to be coming to an end. Has anyone heard whether the show will be at SEMA again this year?

Maybe we could talk a film producer into buying it and using it for a Vanishing Point remake. Maybe get Danny Devito to play Kowalski. Afterwards sell the car for half a mill or more!!

Its nice what the show did for the Dad but it probably wasn't what he was going to do with the car originally anyway. I could see his point in selling it and going back to something more conventional.

Good for them...they got lucky!

As for moparts..I think it's funny how all these guys give people so much crap for selling their cars and trying to make a buck.  Like none of them ever sold anything for a profit?  Like they don't enjoy the fact that their cars have become more valuable and desirable because of flippers?

As for Goody and his dad...I just can't see being jealous over somebody making a buck on their car, business, lottery, whatever.  Good for them if they get their asking price and their wallets get fat.  What they eat don't make me sh@t!

As for the car....I have to think $160,000 is way too much to dump on that car unless it has $110,000 in the trunk.  I'm sure I could find a way more desirable car for the money.  I don't always like Foose's work, like this car even less then usual, and don't think his name should add more then 15 to 20 percent over the cars legit value.

That's the ticket... you've had your fun with the Foosemobile, now time to move onto a car you can actually drive on a day-to-day basis...

Good luck with the sale, and with finding the car's replacement!

d**n, those guys over at moparts have some FANGS!!!!!! After reading just that one post I know that place is not for me. Seems like about half the members have a shank in their hands and the other half are anticipating getting that shank snapped off in them  :o
I agree!  I can't believe I used to lurk around over there before I found cc.com!  :faint:  What a tough croud.
