I agree!  I can't believe I used to lurk around over there before I found cc.com!  :faint:  What a tough croud.
Please don't paint with such a broad brush. For every ugly remark there are 10 positive and helpful responses. It took me a while but for the most part I enjoy my experiences over there. There are a few petty and mean spirited members but generally people get treated consistent with their motives and the way they treat others. :2cents:

There is much more people there, most good, a few bad.  And many have had to deal with Goody's BS and lies over the years, and they get tired of it just like everyone else.

Just got done reading that thread - The Green Hornet story was great, but man if I had to go to that site to find answers to all my questions I would buy a Ferd. I'm glad that you don't sound too upset over all the BS over there Goody. Good Luck with the sale - I totally understand and wouldn't want something that I couldn't enjoy either.

But its ok for you to say its 110k over priced, hows that different :roflsmiley:

Its different because it isn't a personal attack on someones character and ethics. I am somewhat ashamed at some of the comments that I have read over here as well. There is never a need to call someone a liar and to say that you are tired of someones BS. If you don't have something good to say ....... I don't personally know Goody nor his Dad and would never think of publically making some of these comments directly or indirectly about anyone. I wish someone would delete this entire thread.

I really don't know about Goody's history or anything, but your telling me if you had that car you wouldn't think about or let alone sell it?  Now before you answer that think of all the guys here that enjoy the original look or numbers matching or trailer queens or whatever.  I have a feeling if you truly had it in your possession things might be a little different.  I am 21 years old and if I came home and saw my '72 Chally looking like that I would be mad as hell.  First of all, how do you know thats how he even wanted that car to look or anything along those lines?  I know what I want to do in my mind, but have never told anyone.  Second I enjoy restoring my car (if I didn't I wouldn't be doing it) so that is great someone else did it don't get me wrong, but how do you know he didn't want to restore it himself?

Overall, for some of the comments I have seen in this thread it actually disturbs me seeing him called him a "liar" or "dealing with his BS".  There is no need for that at all, honestly do you feel better ridiculing him on this forum?  Mods you really should consider deleting this topic.

They knew very well what the Challenger would be like before they agreed to have it done.I think the only thing that was done different to what Goody wanted was the added roof stripe. If they wanted a nice driver/resto they should`nt have had it "Foosed".

:iagree:

Torred makes a very valid point. If Goody knew his Dad wanted to restore the car himself he wouldn't have applied? or emailed? or sent entree forms in for the show, so, there isn't really any dramas as far as "not what they wanted". The only one who could be somewhat angry (if anyone) would be Goodys Dad lol. "Why'd you go give him my Chall Goody!?!" >:( lol Oh well, what's done is done and they're doing the right thing IMO. I'm still not sure if the $160K is doable, IMO it's quite, ah, "overpriced". Not to say I know everything or anything of course but $60K would be about right IMO. Best of luck to them though, as someone said, that got lucky, good for them.

If you don't ask, you'll never know.

Thanks for all the great comments, it is a mixed bag wanting to sell the Foose Challenger, however I want a car I can drive on a daily basis, this car is truely a work of art, in my opinion, and needs to be in a collection. It was a very simliar experiance owning and selling the Black Beauty, the Green Hornet's car, which now sits in the Peterson musuem and everyone can enjoy it. If i could have rode around and played Green Hornet & kato (lol) I would have kept the Black Beauty. Again thanks for the support from this board
