I'd say that someone has hijacked PG's account.

And this is the best they could make of it?

Almost every forum has a "bump" thread on it where members get bored and reply "bump" to see how many people will do it.  It also throws the thread at the top of the "Unread Posts" section....keeping it "alive" therefore letting everyone see it all the time.

Pretty silly stuff but whatever floats your boat I guess.  :dunno:  :clueless:

RDF - Pistol Gripper didn't do it. Check out the Off Topic board, there are 20 odd bump threads which the Moderators/Admin should have deleted by now. I'm sure everyone knows what a "bump" does and it's used more so for replies. In posts is OK if done after a little while and is used to bump there topic up to the top for replies. Nothing wrong with it if the topic is urgent or essential to a members car and getting it going. This was done by someone hi-jacking PGs profile/account. Not sure why but it's easy enough to do if someone has the skill and no life to do it.

I have left them there for right now as I want PG to see what I'm talking about when he logs on.  Then when we get to the bottom of this, I'll go in and delete them.   :grinyes:

I wouldn't think a virus would do something like this?

Not a virus per se, but something like a data miner that can grab the username-password cookies from a desktop and send them to someone else.  When you contact PG you might want to let him know that it's a good idea to check any accounts that he has stored passwords for, especially online banking, email, etc. If he still has access to them he should change all the important passwords.
