Just Clicked, Accents LOL
« on: July 01, 2007 - 05:14:11 PM »

This is a quick pointless thread. I just realised about 1 week ago that you guys read and say my user name as, "En Zee four forty Are Tee" Where as, down under and how I've told people, I say: "En Zed four forty Are Tee" lol Very pointless I know but I never realised until last week that my name rhymes for you lot.

Zed?  Must be an Enn Zed type of thing.

BTW  Do you say Car or Caah.  Park or Paahk.  You never realize till someone else says it.

Not sure, it's hard to tell exactly how you'd say it too? If that made sense. :clueless: :roflsmiley: I think I say caah and paahk. I thinnk you guys say car as in carrrrr. Everything in the American accent seems to be more drawn out, that's not a bad thing or anything just that's how outsiders view the accent I think, like the last word especially eg: "Soooo, how you goinnggggg" Okaaaaaayyyy" "I hope everything is fine with you and your famillllyyyy" if this makes sense. LOL What a bloody weird thread. I think kiwis "rush" there words, well, I speak fast and often have to slow down when the person on the other end is thinking "WTF?"

You don't have to be foriegn to be going WTF :clueless: just move around the US & you'll find hundreds of different ways to say words, with all kinds of accents thrown in, just in the north east here, NY alone has a bunch, mine is gettin kinda mixed, born in brooklyn, grew up in ozone park Queens & now live in jersey, I think it still resembles english, but all of my teachers might not agree!  :naughty: Rich.
