I saw that on the news the other day.  Loosing a steer tire is alway scarey. But having 4 tires that could just go at any time would be unnerving

Sounds like there are lots of these tires on the market under different names. Hope I never buy tires from China.

We import so much stuff from China from shoes to toothpaste. A lot has been recalled and even people jailed for breaking laws. Makes ya want to stick to domestic items, but there's no guarantee their either!! Just be careful and most importantly STAY INFORMED!!! That's why I like this site!! :2thumbs:

The Chinese are good at making things that "look" the same.  Making goods that function the same is still a struggle at times.

I used to work for a company that made brake shoes for big trucks. At one time, we heard about a Chinese based company that was making fake brake shoes out of pressed cardboard, and was going to try to sell them using fake boxes made to look like the real thing. They got shut down, but imagine if those had gotten on the market.

There are also a lot of conterfiet parts being made in China that have packaging that looks just like factory or top quality parts.
