Who Hasn't Gone To Carlisle??

OK, who wasn't allowed or couldn't make it to Carlise? I feel like I'm left behind on a school field trip in a detention room with others who didn't go, we can watch old videos, play hangman, solitaire & it's raining outside.

Who else didn't go and why? My reason is pretty obvious.

I was planning on going as I am off this whole week and through Tuesday next week. Would have been my first trip Unfortunately I had something come up that I couldn't say no to. I even got my Challenger out of the body shop in time to take it, but alas I couldn't say no to help a group of kids in a youth program with no youth pastor. So here I am!! There's always next year!!

I was planning on going this year.   But alas, I changed jobs last month and don't have any vacation days yet.   

and, next year we are going to Hawaii for two weeks during Carlise.

Oh well, maybe one day I will get there.

I have never been there but I would really like to go. If everything goes like I hope next year will be my first year. (job issues prevented this year)

I'm staying home to attend my 30 year high school reunion (Grissom HS in Huntsville, AL) this weekend, I was toying with the idea of going but this put the kibosh on Carlisle. On top of that the weekend after the 4th is a bad time for me to travel in general. I wonder if the ever hold it later in the month?!?!

I was 2 seconds away from going this year, (would have been first time) 
Took a few days off from work too, but it just wasn't in the cards this year 
 This is also the week for the New England Summer Nationals in Worcester,Ma

Cool! I knew there were a few of you guys staying behind! I dunno, I really want to get over there. Problems: my money goes on cars, I'm not a big fan of flying and my mates/cousins can't get the time off to make it over and I don't "really" want to come over by myself. I'll feel like Crocodile Dundee lost in those BIG cities. I'm thinking, if I can make it it will be something like 2010. After my cars are done and I've enjoyed them/life enough not to care if my plane goes down lol.

I'm only 3 hours away & it's killing me, was gonna make a day trip sat, no local takers on the co pilot seat, my son has a broken foot otherwise I'd just take him, a friend is going but he's going fri, I have to work, I asked him to stop the tent & at least say hello for the ole Rusty one, but I did the same last year & he never got there, we will see, He did say he wanted to check out the cars I showed him on the site, we will see!  Rich.

Its a no for me too Carl.  16 somethin hour drive.  I cant say it cant be done, because Rare T/A drove past my house on the way to Carlisle.  He lives another 4+ hours away than I do.   

So, nope, not this year.  Some year, hopefully.  I have a feeling that I'll make a visit to the Nats before Carlisle, even though I hear Carlisle is better.   

Maybe next year I can hitch a ride with Mark (Street_Challenged)   

Havent told him about that one yet.
