A Little Progress w/ PICS
« on: July 07, 2007 - 09:51:03 AM »
Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while so here's an update.  The shop is finally finished so working on the car is a bit simpler.  I hung all the body panels on the cuda to give me a bit of motivation, hopefully it will be going to paint soon.  I just ordered a Harms shaker kit and bought a flat hood of ebay.  I am currently looking for a drivers fender and not having much luck.  I have a bit of welding to do before paint including installing my XV rad support, shock tower supports, a 26 inch rad support , console brackets and a few other things.  Then it will be off to paint.  I also finished my Dakota, some of you may have seen the pics of it I posted a while back, it was a write off that I bought cheap.  Anyway, here's the pics.

Cuda looks like a good project.

I remember you posting the pic about the Dakota, and I looks great.  How were you able to buy it since it was a writeoff??  You had to get a salvage title??

Sweet 'cuda! What size rims and tires do you have? backspacing is? Do you have the 8-3/4 e-body rear axle? Oh and what's the rimes called. They look so cool.

The wheels are Eagle alloy (TT 2's knockoffs), 17 x8 in the front and 17 x 9.5 in back, not sure of the backspacing though.  The rear in there right now is an ebody 8 3/4 - I also have a b-body 8 3/4 with the offset shackles, etc but think I'll probably end up going with the e body.  Oh yeah, tires are 245/45/17s in fornt and 275/40/17's in back

It takes one mindset be bring an intact, but rusty car back to life. It's entirely another to bring back a crashed one from the brink.

Both the Dak and the Cuda look great!
