Back home from Carlisle
« on: July 08, 2007 - 09:50:28 AM »
We made it home ok today. It took 2 hours to get up there, I was behind MEK. It only took 1 hour 35 min. to get home, me in front and my wife behind me. Thank goodness, no more problems on the way.

Wade, this trip was not without problems, but we still had a good time. See my post of the accident at Granpa's Growler last night.

Are you saying I drive slow??   :poopoke:

Glad you made it back home in good shape Dave. I feel bad since I was kinda pushing you to go up there. Let me know what I can do for you. There is a place local that can re-do pumpers, at a cost.  :eek4:

No Mike, I drive fast...  :burnout:  Average speed was 76 mph. Hit over 90 comming home. My wife was sooo scared we would get a ticket. First thing she said when we got home was "da_m you were flying all the way. You never drive that fast." The PM I sent will explain that.  :eek4:

I am so glad you made it home safely Dave.  I hope you will come back next year, even after all the crap that happened to you.  It was great getting to know you and your wife.  You guys are great!

I uh, I got home safe too...  I took a little while 'cause I went route 11 though - added about 5 minutes.  And traffic was a real ***** out of Carlisle.  Oh and I stopped at Wal-Mart to print a new photo for my plaque.  That took forever!  Still got home by 4:30.

Of course I left the tent at about 3:30...

I flew out right about 10 am this morning. The flight came in an hour and 15 minutes early. Thats the fastest I have ever travelled across the U.S. About a 4 and a half hour flight total. We were so early that when the plane landed, the traffic control made the plane wait on the tarmac since the people tube was being used still for another flight.

I had a blast there with everyone I met. Thank you to those that carted my butt around to and fro,.. hotel/show.

I will miss you all that I was with this Carlisle 07.
