Installed repo wheel opening moldings from Y1......
« on: July 08, 2007 - 11:13:55 AM »
....and boy were they a crappy fit!!!! Good thing I had a metal shrinker from my aviation days. Still not as pretty a fit as I would like. Now I know my car is no spring chicken but I'm just wondering if these are a good fit on ANY Cuda???

Am also about to install the rocker trim today. Will post up pics of all this happiness later today.

I've heard they're not very good.  Thats what I'm afraid of, I need some.  I dont have any old ones to even throw on.   :walkaway:

The after-market trim for the Chally wheel wells needs some messaging too, but not real bad. It's better than paying close to $500 for NOS, that I hear is "iffy" in the fit department anyway.

yes, I guess I shouldn't knock it. It is an available alternative. The rocker trim was much more predictable and came out pretty good. Ck it out:

Why the 'Cuda ones fit so crappy I don't know :clueless: I bought a set for my Challenger from I think RPM Restoration Parts and they fit quite well. Considering what it is, I would think it shouldn't be such a tough job making a set that has a decent fit. Anybody that knows of a new source for these chime in!! :2thumbs:

I installed a set on my 70 cuda from Y1 and they fit great, no problems at all. I'll see if I can dig up some pics later.
