440 Short Block Shipping Weight?
« on: July 08, 2007 - 04:35:13 PM »
Anyone happen to know the weight of a 440 short block minus the cam.  I need to ship a block, but don't know how much it weighs.  I'm guessing around 300 pounds?  Thanks! :bananasmi

I would guess just a little more than that.....my block alone ways close to 250....the crank is another 75 then +/- 15 pounds for pistons.....I would think closer to 350 would be more like it.

Don't forget your average pallet or skid wieghs about 50 lbs. And you would include that in your weight calculation.   :grinyes:
