Another quick update.....we made good progress today.....it finally started!
First time we tried to start it and it kicked right over......what a relief!
I broke down and bought an MSD 6AL that I found on carig's list here in Orlando for only $100.00. That came with the instructions, all parts, and 3 rev limiter chips (6000, 7000, 8000). I also bought a Master Blaster 2 coil (local auto store) to go with it.
Goody wired up the ignition column and other items under the dash while I installed the MSD box on the heater box, ran new 4 gauge wire for my amps (next project hehehe...), hooked up the coil and tried to clean up the engine bay a little. It's tough working now because we're down to just a few items left, so there's not much room for 2 of us to work so close, but we're getting it done! As you'll see in some of the pics, the dash cluster is back togther (slightly) and the inside is still a mess of cut-up wires, connectors, etc.
Once the dash is back together, I'll take another pic of the gauges with their lights on, I used green bulb covers and I must say they look good.
We'll be back at it next Sunday, so look for another update then. This week I'm just running another Positive cable to the starter, hooking up my headlights and bezels, and other minor stuff that can be done during the week.
