Well this one got the best of me, so I unhooked it from the dash and hooked it back up again in the engine bay and it worked!!!!?  So I did the same thing again, ran them through the firewall and they didn't work. 

Today I took them out, put it in the engine bay and it didn't work...so something tells me that it's the switch.....we'll see.....tired.....

Got the stereo diagram all set...seems pretty simple....I'm gonna try to pickup some cheap 6x9's and 5 & 1/4's for now just to throw in the car to get some noise going on.

Got done today!! We went around the block with no seats, but it seems well!!

Yes indeed we finally finished today!  

The issues I was having with the parking lights ended up being a bad ground and the same for the wiper motor.  The switch itself had to be grounded, which I had no idea it needed to be b/c there wasn't a wire for grounding.  Never-the-less, we are done and it runs well.  After Mike left I finished buttoning everything up and took it for a ride to the part store, in the pouring rain (it's been almost 3 months since I've driven it, yeah I was itching  ).  It did fantasitc.....no issues what so ever. I even took it grocery shopping after that and still had no issues, so things are well with it and I'm happy to say this was a huge success. 

Below are some pics of what we did today.  I bought some cheapy 5 & 1/4 speakers from best buy and threw them in my kick panels.  I had to cut out a place for them in the panel, but that's what they make dremels for!  After we wired up the radio, it was just finalizing the wiper switch and other small items.

A thanks to everyone for all their input on this thread, as usual, I came away with invaluable information.  I learned a lot from this project; how to solder (and how NOT to solder...getting burned), some about electrical, how the inners of my car comes apart and goes back together.....but mainly I gained a new friend from this whole thing.  A HUGE thanks to Mike for helping me out for as long as he did.  :      Without you I would have been really lost on this project.  I think we started in Mid July and worked pretty much every Sunday until now.  We did take about 3 Sunday's off during that time, so all in all I would say it took us 5 to 6 days in total.  Most of those days were mainly 8am to about 3ish with us breaking for lunch as well.  So overall not too bad for rewiring a car.  Mike, I have your wire cutters....this give will me a reason to get up your way and see your dad's car soon.  I'll work it out with you on getting them back to you.

Sure thing man   I was a little nervous that first day with that HUGE roll of wires. A entire roll of solder later, yards of heat shrink, tons of connectors, some tape and crinkle stuff its allllllllll there   Good to hear to got to take it for a spin, even better it all works!    I'll meet up with you at some point, I'd say at that Casselberry cruise in on Friday, but my Dad won't be here so you'd miss his Challenger. Maybe next week.  

Feel free to give a holler if anything starts acting up. I caught some rain in the 'Cuda on the way back too.

Great Job!    Well now that it's all done, how did you like the EZ kit? Quality? Installation? Etc...

BTW, I may start wiring mine sooner than expected so I'll probably be shooting some questions your way soon. Mostly about how you wired in the MSD ignition. I plan on running my car with the MSD as the primary ignition and the original Mopar ECU as a backup.

Here's a bunch of wiring diagrams I saved from all over the internet to use when I start the rewiring project. Now I just have to piece something together out of all of these... LOL!

  great work guys.... If your looking for some more clearance for the e-brake you can add a spacer to to the mounting bolt, I went with a longer bolt & moved mine over about 1/2 inch.

I did the same as well....I only added about 1/4 of an inch or so, but it worked out great....

Looks really awesome, Did you like the EZ set,  How did it compare to the Painless, (Goody, did you use the painless) ie is painless worth more.

We used the EZ set....I had the painless in my hands but returned it when the EZ kit was 200+ cheaper.  The directions were ok, we did use the original wiring diagram alot, but Goody can tell you more on that.  Overall I don't think we had any real "issues" with their wiring system.  They also told me when I bought the kit that they would give me their tech's cell phone number for the weekend, incase I needed to call them.  I thought that was kinda nice....also, I did call and ask for some reference help and shawn was able to answer all my questions.
