Its a statistical clock, not acurate at all. Basically someone took a base formula like "every second 1.25 people die from street racing" and applied it to a growing clock. When a natural disaster comes in and kills 100,000 people the numbers won't relfect that, just keep the average going. Look at the Births vs Deaths column and compare to total population. If there is a birth every second and a death every second then the worlds population wouldn't be climbing every second.
What bugs me is that it strickes me as some kind of political statement verses information source. I keep expecting to see a little marque go by saying "if you loved jesus none of this would be happening..." or "greenpeace is the answer." Why bother having abortion, moms dying in abortion, and prenital condition stats unless you were trying to make a point?
