 I thought about using 40lb felt roofing paper but the abrasives in the paper worried me. They use it amongst other thing to keep the roofers from sliding off the roof. It would seem any movement or vibration would be like sanding the sealer of the metal surfaces.

 Thanks for the J-bolt part number. My dealer's book only goes back to 1982. With a number, I just have ask it if is good, then order it.  :jumping: 

 Decided to scrap the shower mat idea. I had used rubber insulators at the corners on the last go around, now I'm sanding the rust off the strap. It is clean on both sides of the strap except where they were located. Tank side was good though.., go figure. :-\ Guess breatheability is the issue here.
