I agree with that assessment, but unless somebody does something really outrageous (like have their car piggybacked on the space shuttle), as long as it's done well, we'll never know. Another factor is that the act of recording or scanning an image changes the image, so how do you count using Photoshop to adjust exposure elements like contrast or brightness that were washed out during a scan? Is there any difference between using Photoshop to change these values versus using a darkroom (which Ansel Adams did to get the values that he wanted in his final prints)?

Point taken. Still, it's not terribly hard to get the right light and exposure and I agree, I'm talking more about the space shuttle (lol) type photos. Still, be good if everyone entered photos of their cars taken by them. I know we're all honest here, well, 98% of us are (remember poll boosting last year?) that wasn't my point, mine was merely if we can tell or not, just let the photo and car and oldschool style planning of the photo "win" you your spot. Perhaps later in the year we can have a photo shop competition? I'd rather see a blur photo of someone who spent all day cleaning their car and taking time to get that perfect shot (in their mind) than a 30 minute photo shop car. I guess I agree with RDF, if they use photo shop just to get their car in then that's their issue. :-\

I'd just like to see different cars.  And I agree with the number of posts and length of time... and must be your car, not a friend or family members, no exceptions.

Hi all,

I would like to enter this year if it's not to late. So the question I have is where do you sent the pics? Also if they are to be digital what is the size requirements for the pics.

Nothing has been setup yet, so you aren't too late. The picture should be as high resolution as possible. If your digital camera is 4 Mega-pixies or more, you are fine.

I worked on my Jeep club calender and they came out very nice. Printed full color, no white border, heavy gloss stock and if I recall for 50 it was $8.92 each (with discount).

So if your plate is full, I would be more than happy to coordinate with you, all I need are the image files once decided upon.  I can front the cost and handle the distribution.

Of course the images would need to be at maximum resolutions (300 ppi).

I think I met him in '99 or '00.  I was checking out the Green Lantern car at the SpringFling back when he still owned it. Nice guy... I bet Mike was there too huh?  Maybe about eleven years old or so

(talk about hijacking a thread)

Maybe I will try out for the Calender this year  :dunno:

Well that was the guy who purchased the Black Beauty (1966 Chrysler Imperial) from me after I had it restored. By the way it was the Green Hornet and Not Green Latern  :dunno:, alot of people make that mistake.
