Do you know of these guys ?
« on: July 13, 2007 - 07:39:24 PM »
Just curious, yesterday at work I did a small job for Gray Automotive Products of St. Joseph, MO. A couple pieces of tubing 3.375 X 2.747 / 2.750 with a 16 rms, or micro finish. I was just wondering what kind of produts they made, especially using steel tubing of this size?  Anyone ?   :feedback:

Hell, that's a great idea,...........why didn't I think of that? I guess a few brews, a bottle of wine with Pam at dinner and then my eyes as I remember were getting a little heavy,...............maybe that was why.  :smilielol:

Well, after clicking onto the link Torred posted I'd say off hand they were for those portable jacks / lifts used for those heavy duty units. But I wouldn't excatly say those vechicles fit in an "automotive" catagory.  :2thumbs:

Yeah, and I forgot to mention I also got up at 3:30 am to go to work, we've been on 10 hr. shifts for over a year now with no let up in sight. The steel tubing business is booming, if you can do any kind of machinest work you need to consider industrial machinest work.  :2thumbs:
