Need pic of Challenger jack in trunk.
« on: July 16, 2007 - 03:15:22 PM »
Anyone have a pic of the jack inside the trunk for a Challenger?  Interested in how it's held in place.

Thx

Thanks!  Wonder is there's a difference between years / models?  I don't have the tab/hook on the trunk floor that seems to be holding the jack down..

I recognise that photo... It's from Dons Cuda! The lug nut wrench lies in first then the jack itself then you rachet the jack assembly on the spring to increase tension to hold all into place. Note: the spring pictured in Dons Cuda is incorrect, but served a purpose at the time.

all year ebodies are the same, the loop must be broke off in your car or trunk extension was replaced.

Thanks!  Wonder is there's a difference between years / models?  I don't have the tab/hook on the trunk floor that seems to be holding the jack down..

My friend Allen Wilson reproduces all of those parts.

Look Up Wilson Productions on the net or in MCG magazine.

Here is the site:  He is out of St. Louis.

From what I remember, I have never had my bumper jack out of the trunk.  This is how it came from the factory in 1972.

Based on where you lug wrench is now, I would think that the jack was out at least once. You have to take the jack out to remove the wrench from it's notch.  ;)

Alaskan_TA--------->  Ya know, you are absolutely right.  The lug wrench is not in there correctly, based on the decal that is on the trunk deck showing how to use the jack.  It's been 35 years, so i guess my memory slippped a bit!  I will correct it soon. :2thumbs:
