Hey, chargin I'll take you for a trip. what do you got that is worthy of a 712 ci blown chebby chevelle?
BWAAAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
712 inch?
Cmon! the short deck on a BB chev, even if it was a tall deck engine, could never get up the stroke for 712! (what brand of block is it?)
Reasons why MOPAR rulz?
heres a few................
(1) Rocker shafts (no little rockers going "doink" and coming off the stands) In fact, if your "712" inch chev doesnt have rocker shafts, then you didnt build it right.
(2) Skirted block. Chrysler hid they're crank in the block, not stuck it out on the end, with poorly desighned main caps to hold it in. (chev SB's are the worst)
(3) Short rods. (no torque)
(4) Crank oiling, and cam oiling sucks on a chev, real bad.
(5) Block material (chev blocks are softer, and weaker)
I could keep going, but, I can say this, I have raced my work trucks, and have got beat by one chevy, it was a 3/4 ton, GMC, but................it had a Buick 455 in it. (LOL!) Smoked my lil 318, well............untill about 90, he ran out of gear.
No matter what you have, someting will always be faster! And, as long as John Forces Ford is a hemi? I will say that MOPAR RULZ!
(second would be Olds/Buick/Pontiac/Cadillac.................)
And, before you go knocking Fords, better find a old 406 or a 427/8/9 for your lil Chevelle!
Kisses and hugs.
