How to tell a Hemi A833
« on: July 17, 2007 - 07:17:31 PM »
Can anyone give me a quick run down on how to tell if a A833 tranny is the heavy duty one used behind the Hemi. From what I understand they were used in the Hemi cars and the 440 6 packs. Going to look at one and don't have alot of time to research it, thought I could get some quick pointers.

This will go into a 1971 Cuda

The input shaft will have 18 splines for the clutch disc instead of 23. And to fit an e body. It will have two shifter locations on the trans and the e body location is the rear mounting pad. :2thumbs:
