Whiskers
« on: July 18, 2007 - 01:23:42 PM »
It has been 3 1/2 years since I had my Challenger together and for the life of me, I can't remember how the door whiskers get attached to the door. Any ideas?

Are you talking about the ones outside, or inside the window? I know I've done both, but I would have to look at my car again before I give advice.

After I saw the picture of your car, I completely forgot what you wanted.  That car is absolutely beautiful.   :worshippy  :wow:

Thank you for the compliments. It's taken me 3 1/2 years to reach this spot. I had went all the way down to bare metal on a rotisserie and all the way back up. Sorry about the pic being so blurry, it was after a couple.

Let me ask again. Is this the rubber strip on the outside of the window, or the felt thing strip on the inside that you need help with?

My car isn't here now, but I believe that strip just presses in. I know I replaced mine, and I know there wasn't any hardware involved. I hope I'm right here, but I don't remember it being difficult.

The strip I just received has holes which line up with holes on the door so I would guess there is some kind of fastener but I have no idea. Here's a pic of the strip.
