Need an alternator
« on: July 21, 2007 - 10:29:25 AM »
Finally getting the car back together and as with a bunch of other things, I can't find my alternator.  I want to stay as stock as possible, but I have added power windows to the car.  It is a 440 with A/C.

Can someone let me know what will work best for me.  Part numbers would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have my original squareback off my 72 Cuda AC car. It works great, I did the popular late model conversion to a Denso 130a unit. The only numbers I can find on it are:

3438713
5308

Also have another 130a late model unit if you are interested in the conversion. Its easy to do and is a well documented upgrade.

That number 3438713 I think is a casting number and not the part number, if it came off a A/C car it should be a 60 amp. the 5305 number I believe is the cast date.
