75 Barracuda???

I go back and forth on them.  I guess it's better to have had Barracudas die out than to be replaced by something so un-Barracuda-like, but part of me still wishes that the e-bodies (or some successor) had continued production.  I guess that if they'd gone the Mustang II route that the legacy would have been diminished, but the Mustang managed a pretty good comeback.

The car on Pg. 26 of the posts by 4C looks similar to the RTS Cuda show circuit car, the nose being the giveaway.

One of the round tail light Cuda models had that nose as an option, too. I think it was an MPC 72 but I'm not sure.

  I just checked in the basement.  You're correct.  MPC '72 Hemi Cuda Barracuda Street Machine.  Still have one of those unbuilt.  It's giving me ideas.....

The Testor's '72 Challenger has a nose cone that makes it look like a Diamante.  Weird, eh?

Just part of evolution, I guess. Look at the difference between the 69 and 70 Cudas. I remember a lot of negative comments about the 70 design back then. Amazing how that has all changed.

I think that if you pulled together different parts of all of those concepts, you would wind up with something truely stunning.

That's what I was thinking looking at some of the pics in the article.

These were preliminary designs too. If things had actually gone forward, odds are there would have been even more changes before a design was finalized. It's hard to imagine what it might have turned into. Maybe it would have morphed through several more reiterations like the Camaro and Mustang have been through. Maybe it would have turned into something like the Stealth and 3000 GT. Who knows? I remember at one time GM and Ford both proposing four door versions of Vettes and Mustangs. The 70s were very weird at times.

For the life of me, I can't remember where I found these.... but I recall that they were some future version of the challenger...... but I can't remember where I got them from.  Perhaps someone out there saw them also....

That's the Yellow Jacket Show car that later became the Dodge Diamante show car.  I like the Yellow jacket better IMO.    I believe that car was the first HEMI E-body convertable ever built

Interesting stuff...Some time ago I have found these on the internet...I  don't know where...

For me It looks very good but the 1970 style of the 'cuda is the best!



I remember there was also something about 1985 'cuda, I know it was ugly, small and without performance...Two concepts were made or something like that...
