I think it started life out as a non-Rallye car.  '73 and '74 cars did not use the "JH" and "JS" designations as did the '70-'72 years, Rallye was made in option package in '73-'74.  If it did have the Rallye option then I think the code was A57 on the fender tag.

What's that Jy9 code?  Twice?  Is that the body color code?  If so, it may have been a dark shade of gold, maybe  Dark Gold Poly.

 hey 71bigblock thanks for the tag help, longitudinal white stripes , thats intresting .i don't know what that looks like . i would luv to know it's original color? as far as i can tell it is tahition gold irid? i've never heard of that color all my mopars are pre 70 . that color wasn't around . unless i'm readig the codes wrong . i've spent hours trying to decode it and haven't got very far . anybody have an example of that color.

Dark Gold Metallic , i don't dig that gold . my 69 roadrunner is supposed to be gold  too. it's primer now but runs like a top . i left it up to my wife , she bought me the car for my birthday. she didn't let me down . vanishing point changed my life . i was like 12 and it played around the corner. $1.25 to get in . man!  i saw cars, girls , drugs, i saw what it was to be a rebel.
 i stayed in that theater till almost midnight . when i got home i got the beating of my life. the next day i snuck out of my room and did it again . when i got home  my dad looked at me and told me to go to my room . i felt like i beat the man. yea i was punished for months but it was worth it. i was never the same .
  so me wife says . lets do it white like in vanishing point. yea i remember why i married her. she's a good egg . so the car will be white . i agree. Rene

hey  360cuda, i luv the stance of your car. looks tough.. i was just surprised i fit so well in it. i was told by a couple of people that they are very tight inside. i 'm a big guy and it fit me great. I've never driven an e body , can't wait  . i was out there yesterday and i took a batt with me. i got most of the lights working . i believe the other ones are just burnt out bulbs. i was under the car with my flashlight. this car is tight . good floors, bigblock torsion bars, new leaf springs. i can tell some one cared about this car. i wonder what made him give up on it. what a shame . here's some more pics. Welcome to the site, Rene!   That looks like a great project car and will look very nice in white.   From the looks of the fender tag, someone wanted to get a rather stripped-down Challenger.  I thought mine was rather sparse with options, but my tag has a couple more lines.
